Where do I even start? This shoot with LS Organics was one of the funnest sessions I have done in awhile - mostly because my close friend and talented stylist, Amber Veatch of Amber Veatch Designs was there to help with all of the creativeness. Now, WARNING: this gallery may make you drool. Jacqueline of LS Organics let Amber and I have free rein of her shop to capture details of her storefront as well as her delicious meals. LS Organics is a modern and chic organic meal service that embraces the value of a plant-rich, nutrient dense, superfood diet. Meals are made with love and are conveniently available for at their South Tampa store as well as available for delivery to your doorstep.
One thing I love about products is being able to take them with me to shoot. I was able to bring some items of Liftreat's home with me to capture in my makeshift studio....aka. my dining room.

"In a growing business, I am always continuing to find new services that will help my clients and their brands succeed. With an updated TDG brand comes updated services for 2018; I am excited to say that I now offer full branding services to small business creatives in Tampa Bay. (Wait, what does that mean?) I am teaming up with my talented and fabulous graphic designer, Bjork Design Co. to offer clients a one-of-a-kind branding experience, complete with custom logo design AND photography at collection pricing. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it is! With our knowledge and expertise, we have found a way to combine forces to create a unique and tailored branding service that can accommodate any business.
So, who is Erika Bjork? Besides the fact that she has been my go-to design guru for the past two years, she is basically a superhuman. Talented, genuine, and lovely. That's what we call a triple threat, people!
"I seem to be the quiet one who surprises you. I excelled academically and tap danced competitively years ago, now I do yoga, am vegan, and obsessed with flowers and coffee. I'm very open minded and love to try new things! I'm currently living on a farm with a growing vegetable garden. Prior to Michigan and Tampa, I lived in NYC and Chicago...I like to travel and explore!" - Erika
I know what you all are thinking, and yes, I have already asked to see her tap in person. (still waiting for that one) She is practically everything I aspire to do (yoga, farm) or be (just....healthier) and together that makes us one well-rounded individual. As far as design services, Bjork Design Co. offers a wide range, from logo and branding design for small businesses, to wedding invitations for the couple that wants a stress free and custom design process. She even offers custom illustrations! (cough, my logos!) She is a one stop shop! Her brand is clean, modern, and versatile. To represent this, I had the pleasure of capturing branding photography for her business and had the best time. Be sure to check out her new website, HERE.
Because of Erika's unique designs, professionalism, and overall stellar personality, I KNEW we needed to team up and create an all-inclusive service for TDG clients. Looking for branding design AND photography to make your business look it's best? I am happy to say this service has launched and you can read all about it on my DESIGN page.
Where do I start with this cuteness? I was so honored to capture a branding photography session for Jen of Wandering Whisk Bakeshop. Not only is she one of the most adorable gals...ever...but she also creates some AH-mazing sweets. (My favorite are her dream bars, hands down) BUT, let's get back to Jen and her business.
"Wandering Whisk Bakeshop is a whimsical home bakery in sunny Florida, serving the Tampa Bay area. We specialize in custom-made sweets from scratch: cakes, cupcakes, French macarons, and cookie sandwiches. Our sweets are perfect for everyday celebrations as well as birthdays, weddings, holidays, baby & bridal showers. Our buttercream frosting has been awarded as the best in St. Pete!"
Jen is a television producer by day and a baker by night. (Yeah, she's a badass. A darling one.) Her passion for baking started in her family kitchen as a child; she hails from generations of family bakers who continue to influence her still today. It all began with a sweet tooth, and her love of baking grew from there.
Check out her in-home session featuring some of her famous confections and of course, Jen herself!
Wow, this session! I had a great time with Tona and her gals at The Paper Seahorse, creating some amazing new branding imagery.
"The Paper Seahorse is a paperie + a makerie. Curating handwritten and handmade experiences, we are dedicated to celebrating the creative spirit and the makers of Tampa Bay. We help people connect through paper and craft, giving and making, from the everyday to luxury. We offer a carefully curated collection of modern and nostalgic goods for the art of writing, paper and presentation. These include: stationery, letterpress, custom and handmade invitations, gift wrap, writing instruments and accessories. The Paper Seahorse also offer creative classes, pop-up events, wedding and baby showers as well as birthday parties for kids little and big."
I am not lying when I say that I could live in TPS; it is a beautiful house off of Howard Ave. in south Tampa and is full of some lovely, unique products. (I'll take one of everything, please!) I spent a couple of hours sipping the most delicious, hot tea and captured all of The Paper Seahorse's special rooms. If you haven't been, be sure to stop by. The look, the atmosphere, you'll feel right at home. I am looking forward to seeing their new images online and on social media, especially Tona's new headshots! She was a little nervous about getting in front of the camera. Why? NO IDEA! She looks fab! What else? They have some kitty mascots! Be still me heart; any fellow cats ladies are friends of mine!
I had the pleasure of meeting Julie of Blossom and Shine over a year ago at Indie Flea. I had been searching for a dainty, classic gold ring and found one at her booth. We kept in contact after that day and I have been capturing images of her gorgeous pieces ever since! She handcrafts the most beautiful jewelry in her St. Pete studio and I proudly wear her earrings and ring daily. They are the perfect pieces for casual wear or to dress up. Be sure to check out her website!
What a pleasure to capture a branding photography session for Tampa's newest sensation...Dough Nation!
"The innovative idea of bringing edible cookie dough to downtown Tampa started with a small booth at the Gasparilla Music Festival. We handed out samples of our cookie dough flavors and before we knew it we had people lined up for more. That day inspired us to think what else we can do with cookie dough. How can it be a part of our social enterprise model."
Dough Nation serves as a training platform for the students of the Metropolitan Ministries culinary arts program. Several graduates of this program now work at the best restaurants in Tampa Bay.
As far as flavors, you will find at Dough Nation classic favorites like chocolate chips, dark chocolate, and interesting ones like s’mores, sweet & salty caramel and more. Oh, and it tastes amazing. I ALSO had the privilege of test testing all of the goodies I captured. Yes, be jealous.
Cookie dough lovers, you can enjoy your favorite flavors at the cafe or in the comfort of your home with their pint size take outs. When you are tired eating it raw you can even bake it. #BOOM
Dough Nation is owned and operated by Metropolitan Ministries. All proceeds from your purchases from Dough Nation goes directly to feed the hungry in Tampa Bay. Dough Nation is the trendy dessert doing good for the community!
Ok, a job with food and amazing people? CHECK! I always love heading to Burger 21 to capture their newest menu creations and featured burgers. Not only do they make my mouth water, but I also get to TASTE all the food....and a milkshake or two. Can you say dream job? Check out some of their recent faves and be sure to check out one of their many locations. (They even have a restaurant in Tampa International Airport now!)
This branding photography session was super special. Why? It's my Momcat! Wait a second, some of you may not know what a "momcat" (?) is....it's just what I call my mom. (and what all my friends call her too)
For the record my mom's name is Mimi. Before you ask, yes, it is her real name. Isn't it cute? My mom founded “It’s Official” on the principal that every couple has a story and in fact, they are the story, and it’s her obligation and honor to bring the elements of your relationship into the
ceremony. She achieves this goal by simply asking questions and getting to know the couple personally. The first meeting is just that, a visit to get to know each other and share experiences.
"I will ask you how you met, what made you fall in love with each other, what kind of ceremony are you seeking, how is family incorporated into the ceremony and are there any additional elements you would like added such as a unity candle, sand ceremony or even pets. It’s important to me that your wedding guests have a sense that we have established a relationship, after all, you will be entrusting me with the next steps in your life together, better known as, “the reason we are gathered here today." I encourage couples to ask me questions as well. I love to share how my story began as a Deputy Clerk for the State of Indiana, performing my first weddings at the Clerk’s Office window in the marbled halls of the courthouse. Ask me what I enjoy most about officiating, the funniest wedding story or about my adorable grandsons. Allow me to tell you how the idea of opening my own officiating service began 22 years ago, and culminated into this dream I call, “It’s Official.”
